BioDonc, moi. Ambiguous traveler and one small aspiring microcosm in the Universe of teaching. Switzerland, Belgium, France..ah, qu'elles sont belles! That was THEN: What a world full of experience...for me, this very moment, it's Louisiana. Again. Freshly graduated LSU--thank you LSU for my $18,000 diploma. Then hopped over to Europe for 3 months: LSU in Barcelonnette, France, then over to Crema, Italy for a short stint as au pair, then 3 weeks of traveling Switzerland, Italy and France with none other than my menopausal mother (hehe.. sorry ma!). That was an interesting ride! Now I'm back from this whirlwind romance, jobsearching in Louisiana, and saving up for one hell of a road trip back to WA. Let's put some fire under them feet!
This is NOW! The Northern cowgirl finds herself once again with her roots, only this time, a little older, maybe a little wiser..nevertheless, I'M BACK WHERE IT RAINS SOME 150 DAYS/PER YEAR, WITH 226 DAYS OF CLOUD COVERAGE! Argh! So..Shackin' up with my latin boy, childhood friend (husband and 2 y.o. son) in perdy Port Orchard--an hour away from Seattle. Woo. So strange to be home again.. working 3 jobs, planning on going back to school for my Master's, looking to find happiness again after my travels. Where's the snow, by the way? I haven't skiied in more than 3 years--looks like I might have to move back to CH. Maybe not. I think I'm supposed to settle down here? At least my family's here..my Dominican boy.. and so many wonderful landscapes here in the Pacific northwest that I have long since forgotten about when I moved away, so long ago...back in October of 2001....
